PROJECT: Ciconia Village
SIZE: 140 ac
SCOPE: Masterplanning
Ciconia Village is a masterplanned agrihood concept aimed to integrate a residential community built around a regenerative farm. The community was conceived around three pillars – thrive, connect, and escape. Rooted in well-being and conscious connection to the food sources from the farm, the community is brought together through common goals, education, and social gathering hub, while offering bucolic landscape for inspiration and outdoor activities.
The 140 acre property set in the Sierra Nevada foothills is characterized by rolling terrain with clusters of oak woodlands, seasonal drainages, and a year-round pond. Using the natural boundaries, the community was laid out into three “hamlets” - clusters of homes located between naturally dense oak woodlands and pastures used for animal grazing. Paved trails, left over from the property’s previous use as a golf course, were integrated into site plan to connect new residential hamlets and navigate the open natural lands.
